Humanoid - Stakker Humanoid (2003)

Humanoid is Scotsman Brian Dougans , half of what was to become The Future Sound of London. I think this track was one of the first acid house tunes I bought. Remember the year was 1988 and there just wasn't too much shit like this floating about. Anyway, in 2001 the breaks duo Plump DJs did a remix and kept things pretty close to the original besides adding in your typical hands in the air breaks break. (if that makes sense?) This 12" was released including all the original versions and the remix. Nice one.

Some more from Wikipedia:

The project behind the track started out with Stakker, a collaborative project by the video artists Mark McClean and Colin Scott. They needed music to support their video and contacted Brian Dougans. They sent a demo video tape containing graphics and some music to Morgan Khan who (although didn't appreciate the video ) invited Brian Dougans to record 2 demos at his Dance Studios in Ealing London. He probably made use of the Roland TB-303 synthesizer and the Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer. The Evil Otto sample “Humanoid” from the videogame Berzerk provided the name of the track.
