The Emperor Machine - Space Beyond The Egg (2009)

I was put onto The Emperor Machine a few months back. Now this is the 3rd album but the first I've listened to. Turns out the guy behind it all is Staffordshire-based Andy Meecham, the guy behind the early 90's rave act Bizarre Inc and more recently house production outfit Chicken Lips. This though is all about vintage analogue synthesizers, reminds me a lot in parts of John Carpenter's style in Escape from New York or more recently Frenchman Principle of Geometry. It really has started to grow on me, particularly in the last few days. Perhaps it's just a phase?
